What WWDC 2017 Has in Store

With the announcement of the most awaited event, Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), that will be held between 5th and 9th of June, 2017 in California, U.S.A., speculations related to the major product lines and additions have been flying about. It has been reported that Siri is finally ready to enter the living room, with an Echo competitor being added to Apple’s line of products.

Hardware Upgrades to Come to Light

Apple is believed to be secretly developing its own version of Amazon Echo or Google Home, apart from a few enhancements of its long-time intelligent assistant, Siri. Although the company has been intending to explore the market for connected homes recently via iOS 10 Home app and Home Kit, all that it needs is an ideal hardware to string everything together.

Another interesting rumor is associated with iPad Pro 10.5. It has been said that Apple might add one more screen size to its existing iPad line. The assumed 10.5-inch iPad Pro is expected to arrive with a smaller 9.7-inch sibling, by virtue of the reduction in bezels.

As Macbook Pro was not launched even a year ago, any upgrades to it will probably be internal-only. Intel’s Kaby Lake processors are expected to feature in this line of products, indicating enhanced battery life and faster speeds. Even the MacBook Air is reported to be equipped with the chips, resulting in a long-anticipated upgrade to its neglected laptop.

iOS 11 Expected to Materialize

Software updates are also in store, with iOS at the fore. Despite the fact that iPhone 8 would not be unveiled at least before the fall, iOS 11 may make its appearance soon. The tablet version of iPad Pro’s operating system is expected to receive some superior updates including expanded support for an Apple Pencil and multi-user login.
