After a recent YouTube video being posted by a hacking group named Anonymous that NASA is about to reveal the discovery of aliens or extraterrestrial life beyond earth went viral, NASA announced that there is as of yet no pending announcement to make about extraterrestrial life beyond Earth.  A spokesperson of the United States space agency recently claimed that there is no pending declaration to be yet. Later in a Twitter post, the science chief of NASA, Thomas Zurbuchen said that conflicting to some of the recent reports, there is no announcement pending from the National Aeronautics Space Association related to extraterrestrial life form.

Hoax or Reality?

The Chief further added in his answer that the existence of other life beyond earth is still a fact yet to be discovered and they moving forward with such missions to help them address this question. The video that was launched by Anonymous mainly focused on a testimony given by Zurbuchen in April at the time of a hearing of the House of Representatives’ Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. At the progress of the hearing which was named “Advances in the Search of Life”, the Chief put forth the plan NASA has for hunting life in other parts of the universe. He further quoted numerous exoplanets that have been marked by the space telescope, Kepler. This video showed Zurbuchen announcing that NASA will make a big announcement taking into account the various missions and activities.
